In January 2009, CAPT was requested by a family in South Central Iowa about rumored
paranormal activity in the home and on the land as they live on a farm. The activity was not reported to be mean or aggressive
in nature though through out the investigation several investigators reported being touched.
CAPT
met at the client's home at approx. 2100 hours and conducted the initial interview and walk through. The team set up the
equipment and started the investigation at approx. 2230 hours.
The home has had some
very bad history which CAPT has agreed not to disclose to the public, but the home is 100+ years old. The home is maintained
well and is in a re-modeling stage and does not have a history of the entities in the home being aggressive towards the family.
CAPT split into 2 groups with one group going upstairs to conduct an EVP session and the
other team going outside to attempt to contact “Grandmother” who is claimed to be on the land. Her area is that
of the older home in the pasture of which only the foundation is left, she roams this area alone and is Native American in
descent but the tribe is not known. Due to the low temps outside the outside group was not allowed to be out for more than
30 minutes at a time, this was a safety issue. The second team conducted their EVP session in the daughter's bedroom and
upstairs bathroom area.
For the remainder of the investigation, the two teams switched
out and conducted repeat EVP and photo sessions in the respective areas. The other team did go out to where the old house
was and had a few personal experiences while there. Their experiences were as follows: (1) A white figure in the trees to
the right of the investigators (2) Rustling in the tree line and ditch area next to the road. With no wind and new snow on
the ground no animal prints were seen in the ditch area to account for the noise. Chris then went into the tree line and ditch
area to “flush” whatever was there out, nothing was found to include tracks of an animal.
The rest of the investigation was spent inside conducting extra EVP and photo sessions. No
photo or video evidence was captured but audio will be listed below. The investigation concluded at 0400 hours.
