CAPT
was called by a family in Oxford Iowa about preforming an investigation of their residence. This call came after a well done
investigation of a neighbor's home was done. CAPT's first Oxford client had requested a follow-up investigation if
at all possible thus making this case a duel investigation.
The team members met at Niki's house and sat to
discuss the plan for the investigation. The client claimed that some of the activity had stopped but not completely and the
claims had not changed as listed above. The claims between the two client's homes are very similar to each other and while
discussing the cases, made CAPT members curious about the chance of wondering spirits since the homes are both located within
the original property lines from the mid to late 1800's. The theory told above was unable to be proven after the investigations
took place but is still open to further inquiry pending more calls. CAPT left Niki's home at approx 1300 hours for the
5 hour trip to Oxford Iowa.
CAPT arrived in Oxford at approx 1900 hours after driving through massive thunderstorms
and tornadoes to get there. The tornadoes were not near us but they did happen to hit the ground within a 50 mile radius of
our vehicle making the investigation more interesting. A tornado did attempt to touch the ground 10 miles from the investigation
site but never made it. CAPT sat with the owners of the two homes to discuss the investigation and claims of activity. CAPT
learned that the activity of the home built in 1878 had slowed and the new home, which was 6 years old, had erratic activity
with a fair amount of time between the events.
CAPT set up equipment in the new location and then set out to the previous
investigation site for a follow-up. Members spent the first half of the investigation there from approx. 2030 hours until
0100 hours when the claimed activity was said to stop. Vigorous EVP sessions were conducted along with massive photo sessions
resulting in the EVP not being able to be used due to a hum in the recordings and nothing abnormal in the photos.
CAPT moved
the investigation to the new site at approx 0115 hours when reported activity was to start. Equipment was checked and the
investigation began. The team spent most of the time in the living room dinning room areas as this was where most of the reported
activity was occurring. Again EVP and photo sessions were conducted resulting in a few EVP's an no photo evidence.
A few personal
experiences were had they are listed below:
SANDY: Shadows in the new location and knocking on the floor.
CHRIS: Shadows in new location.
CAPT wrapped the investigation up at approx.
0530 hours and set off for evidence review. EVP's are listed below.
